Memphis Xplorers News Release

Albany, NY-The Memphis Xplorers of the af2 put up the most points this season as they defeated the Albany Conquest 73-53 at the Pepsi Arena.

Memphis' attack was led by OS Kevin Prentiss who had eight receptions for 114 yards and three touchdowns. He also added a touchdown off a kick return, his third of the season. Prentiss earned the Offensive MVP for the game. The Army Ironman of the Game was WR/DB Terrell Adams with one rushing TD, seven receptions for 125 yards and two touchdowns, along with two pass deflections and an interception. The ADT Defensive Player of the game was OL/DL Nate Grace, who recorded 2 QBH on the Albany QB.

The Xplorers gained the lead early in the first half and had a six point lead at halftime. In the second half Memphis pulled out to an early three score lead, which they were able to maintain for the duration of the game. Ryan Karr and Terrance Quattlebaum each had touchdown off onside kicks, which quickly killed any comeback hopes that Albany may have had.

The Xplorers are 7-1 on the season, and currently have the best record in the af2. The next home game is June 11th against the Quad City Steamwheelers.
