SOUTHAVEN, MS --- The Memphis Xplorers of the af2 have been assigned OL/DL Ronald Tupea (too PAY ah) by the league office. Tupea was a two-time All-Sunbelt Conference Second Team Selection at Utah State.
"Ronald is a big and powerful player that was very productive in college," Xplorers Head Coach Danton Barto said. "We look for him to come in and be a force on both sides of the ball."
The 6-foot-one, 305 pound native of West Valley City, Utah was a four year starter at both nose tackle and d-tackle for the Aggies. He finished his career with 130 tackles, 19 tackles for loss, 12 sacks, 3 forced fumbles and 3 fumble recoveries. His six sacks in 2003 tied him for the conference lead. He also started 41 consecutive games starting in week five of his freshman season through the final game of his senior year.
