Former Louisville Fire wide receiver/defensive back Tony Stallings has been re-signed by the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League.
Stallings spent the majority of the season on the Stampeder practice roster playing in three regular season games. He was activated for the Western Semifinal, against Edmonton, and showed his ability recording five rushes for 90 yards and one catch for 33 yards. During the season Stallings returned five kick-offs for 78 yards.
"Tony's perseverance this past season paid off as he showed his ability in the Western Semifinal. We are looking forward to his emergence in the upcoming season," said Stampeders General Manager Jim Barker.
Stallings and former Fire lineman Jonta Woodard are currently the only two former Fire players in the CFL.
