WR Aaron Boone to Participate in Mascot Bowl

SALT LAKE CITY - The Utah Blaze are proud to announce All-Arena WR Aaron Boone (6-2, 210, Kentucky) will be representing the Utah Blaze in tonight's Mascot Bowl at Lehi High School.

Boone will serve as the team's quarterback in the Bowl which is designed to raise money for the "Firemen and Friends for Kids" and "Bear Hugs for Kids" charities. A Lehi Little League football team will be taking on an all-star mascot team. Celebrity quarterbacks for the mascots include Boone, former BYU and NFL standout Reno Mahe. Celebrity coaches will include former BYU and NBA player Shawn Bradley and Utah Jazz forward Al Jefferson.

The mascot team features "Bear" of the Jazz, "Grizbee" of the Utah Grizzlies, "Swoop" from Utah, BYU's "Cosmo," "Rocky" from Rocky Mountain Raceways, Weber State's "Waldo, "Leonardo" from Real Salt Lake, "Harley" of the Blaze, and Salt Lake Bees' "Bumble." The team will also include Denver Broncos mascot "Miles," and five NBA mascots: the Suns' "Gorilla," "Boomer," from Pacers, "Blaze" from the Trail Blazers, "Clutch" from the Rockets and "Crunch" from the Timberwolves.

The festivities begin at 5:30 p.m. with an autograph session. Fireworks will cap off the evening's activities. Tickets are $3 each. For information, visit www.mascotbowl.com.
