
World Series MVP Jorge Soler to Join Blue Wahoos on Tuesday

PENSACOLA, FL - 2021 World Series Most Valuable Player Jorge Soler will join the Blue Wahoos roster on Tuesday as he prepares to return to the Miami Marlins lineup from the injured list.
A former member of the Southern League with the 2014 Tennessee Smokies, Soler debuted with the Chicago Cubs later in the 2014 season and was a member of their 2016 World Series team. Traded to the Kansas City Royals in 2017, Soler established himself as one of the game's premier power hitters, leading the American League with 48 home runs in 2019.
Traded mid-season to the Atlanta Braves in 2021, Soler played a key role in the team's title run, hitting 14 home runs in 55 regular season games. In the World Series against the Astros, he hit three home runs and batted .300/.391/.800, taking home World Series MVP honors.
Prior to the 2022 season, Soler signed a three-year contract with the Marlins. In 67 games with Miami this season, he has hit 13 home runs and driven in 34 runs.
