
Woodchucks Lose a Tight One in Rapids

The Woodchucks continued their road trip hoping for a win in Wisconsin Rapids after yesterday's tight contest against the Rafters, but it was not to be. The game was kept close and scoreless by the pitching staff until the bottom of the ninth when the Rafters drove in a run on a walk-off single to win the game 1-0.
Starting pitcher Alec Abdalah had an impressive outing, going six innings on the mound and only allowing one hit. Joey Hennessey followed with two more scoreless innings in which he only allowed one hit and struck out three.
The Rafters scored the only run of the game on a walk-off single by Steven Rivas.
Top Performer:
Alec Abdalah threw a no-hitter through five innings, all together throwing 6 shut-out innings, to start the game for the Woodchucks. Abdalah struck out three and only allowed one hit.

The Woodchucks continue their road trip by heading out to Michigan for a 2-game series in Kalamazoo and a 2-game series in Battle Creek.
