Manchester Wolves News Release
The Manchester Wolves, New Hampshire's professional arenafootball2 team, have added more beef to their offensive and defensive lines with the additions of OL/DL Steve Cully and OL/DL Rich Ranglin to the roster.
Cully (6'4, 320) comes to the Wolves as a well traveled veteran with two years of af2 experience (2004, 2006 - Albany Conquest), two stints in NFL-Europe (2005 - Cologne Centurions, 2007 - Rhein Fire) along with brief stays in the CFL (2004 - Edmonton Eskimos) and AFL (2007 - New York Dragons). The New Hartford, NY native was a three-year starter at the University of Connecticut (2000-2003) where he started 27 of the 33 games he played in en route to earning Team MVP and Honorable Mention All-Independent honors.
Ranglin (6'2, 315) will enter his rookie season in the af2 after a stellar four-year career (2003-2006) at Central Connecticut State University. The Yonkers, NY native started every game during his senior season on the offensive line and helped the Blue Devils set a school record for total offense (4,255) and rushing yardage (3,134). For his senior season efforts Ranglin, who one of just five captains for CCSU, earned a preseason Northeast Conference All-Conference selection and was chosen to play in the East Coast All-Star Bowl. In 2005 Ranglin earned an NEC second-team selection.
"I think these additions will help solidify both our offensive and defensive lines," said Ryan Ray, the Wolves offensive/defensive line coach. "Rich and Steve will allow Darnerius Watson and Jimmy Williams, both excellent two-way players, to receive more defensive reps which will help bolster our pass rush on opposing quarterbacks."
The new recruits will see their first action in Manchester this Saturday when the Wolves (5-6) take on former Wolves' quarterback D. Bryant and his South Georgia Wildcats (8-3) on Brady Sullivan Field at the Verizon Wireless Arena in Manchester. Bryant played the 2006 season with the Wolves.
Every fan through the door this Saturday, 7:05 p.m. start time, will receive a FREE pass to the New England Dragway! Also fans will be treated to a special performance by the Recycled Percussion during halftime.
