Tonight's match up at a glance – Manchester Wolves (6-1) at W-B/Scranton Pioneers (4-3)

The Pioneers are currently tied for second place in the Eastern Division and ranked No. 8 in the latest af2 Coaches Poll. After starting out the season 3-0, the Pioneers have slipped a bit of late, losing three of their last four games. They are a very talented team, however, and are always hard to handle on their home turf. W-B/Scranton is led offensively by the strong combination of QB Kyle Rowley and OS J.R. Thomas. Rowley leads the af2 in touchdown passes (42) and ranks high in many other categories, including completion percentage (4th - 66.9), passing yards (6th - 1,846), and passer rating (7th - 115.7). Thomas ranks among the af2's elite in receptions (T-3rd - 54), receiving yards (6th - 654) and touchdown catches (3rd - 19). The Wolves will need to watch out for Thomas on kick returns as well, as he averages almost 25 yards per return ( 24.7). W-B/Scranton swept its three-game series from the Wolves in 2004 and currently leads the all-time series, 6-3. The No. 3-ranked Wolves are driven on offense by the stellar duo of QB Jake Eaton and WR/LB J.J. McKelvey. Eaton has been on target all season, connecting on a league-leading 71.9 percent of his passes. The former University of Maine signal caller is also among the league's top quarterbacks in passer rating (1st – 114.1) and passing touchdowns (T-3rd – 36). McKelvey has been Eaton's favorite target and leads the league with 61 receptions. He's also among the league leaders in scoring with 104 points on 17 touchdowns and one 2-pt conversion. On defense, William "Roc" Haith and Allistair Sebastien are impact players in the secondary. Haith leads the league in tackles with 57.0 and is among the top-5 in passes defended with 14. Sebastien is currently tied for second in the af2 in interceptions (6) and ranks fourth in tackles (47.0).
