Manchester Wolves News Release

MANCHESTER, N.H. (November 1, 2005) - The arenafootball2 league office announced today that

offensive specialist/kick returner Jamaal Perry and wide receiver/linebacker Marc Bacote have been assigned to the Manchester Wolves, New Hampshire's professional Arena Football team. Perry and Bacote both played starring roles on the Wolves' 2005 team that won the East Division crown and earned a trip to the second round of the af2 playoffs.

"I'm happy to have both Jamaal and Marc back here with us in 2006," Wolves Head Coach Ben Bennett said. "These two guys were our top two receivers last year after J.J. McKelvey. With J.J. gone, I think they'll make an even bigger impact as their roles expand in our offense."

Perry (5-9, 175) had a strong campaign for the Wolves in 2005 in which the rookie from Hofstra led the team with 2,132 all-purpose yards (8th in af2) and three kick returns for touchdowns. The Marietta, GA native also ranked second on the squad in receptions (91) and receiving yards (1,004) and finished third in receiving TDs (12). As a collegian, Perry amassed 2,180 career all-purpose yards at Hofstra and ranked 8th in the Atlantic 10 Conference in receptions per game and 7th in kickoff return average.

Bacote (6-5, 225), a three-year af2 veteran from James Madison, was also a key contributor to the Wolves success in 2005. The Fairfax, VA native enjoyed his best season as a professional last summer in Manchester, ranking second on the squad in scoring with 17 total touchdowns, 16 of them on offense (14 TD catches, two TD runs). Bacote also finished third on the team in receptions (66) and receiving yards (651). On the defensive side, Bacote was a major factor as well, registering 28.5 total tackles, five pass break-ups, three forced fumbles, two INTs and two fumble recoveries (one return for TD). He was also a three-time U.S. Army Ironman of the Game award winner. Before coming to the Wolves, Bacote played with the af2's Wichita Stealth in 2004 and ranked second on the team in receiving with 58 catches, 563 yards and 10 touchdowns. On defense, he finished third in tackles with 32.0. He spent his rookie af2 season of 2003 with the Richmond Speed.
