Atlanta Dream News Release
ATLANTA, Ga. - The Atlanta Dream announced its 2023 start of season roster today ahead of its opening tip on Saturday, May 20 as the Dream take on the Dallas Wings in Texas at 1 p.m. ET on ABC.
The Dream enter their 16th season in the WNBA in 2023, led by second-year head coach Tanisha Wright and general manager Dan Padover.
The Dream's roster is headlined by reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year Rhyne Howard, who will look to repeat as a WNBA All-Star and lead her team to the Playoffs in her sophomore season. The 6-2 guard averaged 16.2 points per game, finishing 11th in scoring across the entire league in her rookie year.
Guard Allisha Gray will make her Dream debut on Saturday after signing with her hometown team this past offseason. Gray and returning 6-4 forward Cheyenne Parker recently committed to Atlanta, signing contract extensions ahead of the 2023 season.
Wright and Padover added talent to the lineup through the WNBA Draft, selecting 6-1 Haley Jones out of Stanford with the No. 6 overall pick and 6-4 Laeticia Amihere out of South Carolina at No. 8.
The Dream tip-off their home slate on Sunday, May 28 as they host the Indiana Fever at 3:00 p.m. ET at Gateway Center Arena in College Park. The game will be sold out and all limited remaining ticket inventory has been released, tickets can be purchased here.
