Wizards Come Back to Tie Fire 1-1

CHICAGO, IL - The Kansas City Wizards came from behind to tie the Chicago Fire 1-1 at Soldier Field Saturday afternoon. Preki scored the equalizer in the 80th minute, his first goal since suffering a devastating ankle injury prior to the 2004 season. The tie gave the Wizards their first point ever in Chicago after entering the game with a 0-9-0 record all-time in the Windy City.

The Wizards will host expansion side CD Chivas USA at Arrowhead Stadium on Saturday, June 25th at 7:00 p.m. CT. The match will be part of Hispanic Heritage Night with several activities taking place before and after will take place on Soccer Street on the east side of the stadium from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and will resume following the game, approximately the game including live music and a Budweiser Beer Garden. Pregame activities 9:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
