Winterhawks Announce Additions to Scouting Staff

Portland, Ore. - The Portland Winterhawks Hockey Club today announced additions to its scouting department ahead of the 2023-24 season.

The Winterhawks are pleased to welcome the following scouts to their organization:

Rjay Berra - B.C. Regional Scout (Prince George)

Josh Bonar - B.C. Regional Scout (Okanagan)

Ed Fowler - B.C. Regional Scout (Surrey)

Alex Overhardt - U.S. Regional Scout (Colorado)

William Wrenn - U.S. Regional Scout (Alaska)

Overhardt and Wrenn join Portland's scouting staff after previously playing for the Winterhawks. Overhardt played four seasons in Portland from 2014 to 2018, registering 106 points in 273 career games. The Cherry Hills, Colo. native played one year of professional hockey before utilizing his WHL Scholarship to attend the University of Denver. Wrenn captained the Winterhawks during the 2011-12 season and helped the Hawks make back-to-back WHL Finals appearances before turning pro in 2012.
