Winston-Salem T-Birds announce "NASCAR Night"

The Winston-Salem T-Birds have a very special night this coming Saturday, January 31st when they take on the Cape Fear Fire Antz at the Joel Coliseum Annex. The T-Birds, along with the R.H. Barringer Distributing Company, are presenting "NASCAR Night".

A number of special NASCAR events will occur at the T-Birds hockey game on Saturday:

*Starting at 6:00PM, a number of drivers will be on hand to sign autographs and photos. Among the drivers in attendance will be:

Kirk Shelmerdine, from the ARCA & Busch racing series. His black #3 car will also be on display starting at 6:45PM. He is formerly Dale Earnhardt's crew chief.

Myers Racing Family including Gary Myers, the current champion of Friendship Motor Speedway.

L.W. Miller, the current champion of the S.M.A.R.T. modified racing division.

Four-time Bowman-Gray champions Junior Miller & Tim Brown

Frank Fleming, and Danny & Earl Baker, from Bowman-Gray, Friendship Motor Speedway, and Myrtle Beach Motor Speedway.

*In addition, Dale Earnhardt Jr. & Richard Petty memorabilia will be given away.

*The first 500 fans, 21 or older, will receive NASCAR schedules and Dale Jr. decals.

*It is also "Second Harvest Food Bank Night". Fans are encouraged to bring three canned goods to the game and be entered in a special prize drawing.

*After the game: fans are invited to "Skate with the T-Birds".

T-Birds tickets are on sale at the Joel Coliseum, or by calling TicketMaster at 722-6400 in Winston-Salem or 852-1100 in Greensboro. And for T-Birds season tickets and group ticket info, call the T-Birds at 722-6575.
