Winnipeg ICE Sign Michal Teply, Nino Kinder to WHL Standard Player Agreements

Winnipeg, MB - The Winnipeg ICE Hockey Club announced on Wednesday that the organization has signed CHL Import Draft picks Michal Teply and Nino Kinder to WHL Standard Player Agreements.

The ICE selected Teply 4th overall in the 2019 CHL Import Draft.

Teply is a 2019 fourth round draft pick (105th overall) of the NHL's Chicago Blackhawks. The Havlickuv Brod, Czech Republic native, recorded four goals and six assists for 10 points in 23 games with HC Benatky nad Jizerou in Czech2 during the 2018-2019 regular season. The six-foot-three, 187-pound forward represented his country at the 2019 IIHF U18 World Championship. The 2001-born Teply also suited up at the 2018 Hlinka Gretzky Cup and at the 2018 World Junior A Challenge.

The ICE selected Kinder 64th overall in the 2019 CHL Import Draft.

The 2001-born forward played in 33 regular season games with Eisbaren Juniors Berlin U20 of Deutsche Nachwuchs Liga U20 last season. In those 33 games, the six-foot-three, 163-pounder registered 17 goals and added 24 assists for 41 points. In the playoffs, he added two goals and eight points in five games.

Kinder suited up for Germany at the 2019 IIHF World U18 Hockey Championship in April. Kinder helped his team go undefeated in Division 1 play and was tied for most points at the conclusion of the tournament.

In late June, Kinder attended Los Angeles Kings development camp.
