Winnipeg ICE Begin Inaugural Season against Provincial Rival Wheat Kings

Winnipeg, MB - The Winnipeg ICE begin its inaugural season against the Brandon Wheat Kings at Westoba Place on Friday, September 20.
Puck drop is scheduled for 7:30 P.M. CT.
ICE PREVIEW
Friday's game marks the start of a home-and-home series with the Wheat Kings. The ICE will play its Home Opener presented by Nutrien Ag Solutions on Saturday, September 21 at Wayne Fleming Arena on the University of Manitoba campus. In total, the ICE will play the Wheat Kings 10 times during the 2019-2020 regular season.

WHEAT KINGS PREVIEW
Friday's game kicks off a home-and-home series for the Wheat Kings against the ICE. The rematch will take place on Saturday, September 21 in Winnipeg. It's also the first of 10 match-ups between the two provincial rivals this season. The Wheaties went 2-2 through four pre-season games. Last season, they finished with a record of 31-29-4-4, good for 70 points finishing fourth in the East Division and two points out of a playoff spot.
