
Wings split weekend

Danville Wings News Release
On Friday night the Danville Wings went in to Cedar Rapids with first place on the line and came up on the losing end of a 6-1 game. Bryan Marshall scored his 7th goal of the year on assists from Derek Patrosso and Ryan Hoehn. But that was all the Wings would score as Cedar Rapids scored twice in each of the three periods. Justin Tobe took just his second regulation loss for the Wings saving 25 of 31 shots.
On Saturday night the Wings rebounded against St. Louis with an impressive 6-0 shutout. Bryan Marshall had 2 goals and 2 assists to pace the Wings. Nino Musitelli and Tomas Klempa each had a goal and 2 assists and Derek Patrosso added 3 assists. Ken Reiter picked up his first win of the year with a great performance stopping 26 of 26 shots. On a side note, with 4 points on the night Bryan Marshall became the Wings second leading scorer in team history with 133 points, over taking Jason Tejchma (132). Marshall only trails Lukas Dora (136) for the all-time lead.
