Pohl Position - Tri-City's Tom Pohl went to the net and got rewarded last week, notching three goals and three assists to pace the Storm. After starting the season with 15 assists and no goals, the Minnesota native now leads Tri-City with 24 points in 19 games.
Records on the Verge - Both Cedar Rapids and River City have all-time club records within reach this week. The RoughRiders have equalled the organization's record for consecutive wins (8; set in 1997) while the Lancers have matched a team mark for consecutive road victories (6; set in 1998-99).
Well Played - Tri-City has allowed the third fewest goals in the league (46) while scoring the most (74). Streak snapped - Jon Grabarek's sensational scoring streak was snapped on Saturday. The RoughRider's final streak totals: 10 straight games with a point; 17 points over the span.
Streak begins - Des Moines' Mike Erickson, a Minnesota Wild draft pick, has goals in four straight games. The Blocker - Cedar Rapids goaltender Joe Fallon leads the USHL in victories (10), saves percentage (.932) and shutouts (2).
Northeast Pride - Cedar Rapids' all-New England line of Brian Pouliot, Jamie Carroll and Matt Vokes combined for 10 points on Friday night in a 6-1 win over Danville.

River City head coach and general manager Mike Hastings on the joy of winning in the regular season (as told to Joshua Buechler, Omaha World-Herald): "You can be satisfied after a game until the sun comes up the next day."

Tom Pohl -- TRI-CITY STORM
Pohl (Red Wing, Minn.), the Storm's top scorer, earned Offensive Player of the Week honors with an impressive threegoal, three-assist week. One of his goals was a game-winner. For the week, he was a +2. Honorable mention goes to Bryan Marshall (Danville), Mike Erickson (Des Moines) and Mike Howe (River City).
LPH/USHL Defensive Player of the Week:
Marty Magers -- RIVER CITY LANCERS
Magers (Omaha, Neb.) earned Defensive Player of the Week honors by registering two victories in goal for the Lancers while allowing just two goals against. His saves percentage for the week was .962. Honorable mention goes to Joe Fallon (Cedar Rapids), Ken Reiter (Danville) and Jimmy Spratt (Sioux City).
