Wings' Snider Named NLL's Transition Player Of The Week

The Philadelphia Wings' Geoff Snider was named the NLL's Transition Player of the Week for his performance in his team's 15-14 overtime win over the Buffalo Bandits last Saturday at the Wachovia Center. Snider scored two goals, scooped nine loose balls, and won 21 of 28 face-offs in the win, which improved the Wings to 3-0 for the first time since 1997.

"Geoff's goal five seconds into the game and face-off win that led to the game winning goal in overtime were perfect bookends to a terrific game," said Wings' Head Coach Dave Huntley.

The Calgary, AB native is entering his second season with the Wings and has 39 career points (16G, 23A) and a 74% win percentage in face-offs (256 of 345. The 5'11", 205-pound University of Denver graduate was drafted by the Wings in the first round (fourth overall) in the 2006 NLL Entry Draft.
