Minnesota Swarm's Sean Pollock Named NLL Player of the Week

SAINT PAUL/MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - The National Lacrosse League (NLL) announced today that Minnesota Swarm forward Sean Pollock has been named both the Overall Player and Offensive Player of the Week after scoring three goals and six assists in Minnesota's 18-17 overtime win over the Rochester Knighthawks Saturday at Blue Cross Arena. Pollock scored both the game-tying goal with 5:20 remaining in regulation to force OT, and the game-winner 6:30 into the extra period, to give the Swarm a 3-0 record for the first time in franchise history. The 25-year-old right-hander has five goals and seven assists in three games this season.

The Weekly Player Awards are determined by a vote of the General Managers and Head Coaches of the league's 12 member clubs.

Minnesota's next game is Saturday, Feb. 3 at the San Jose Stealth at 9:30 p.m. The Swarm returns to Xcel Energy Center next weekend for home games against the New York Titans on Friday, Feb. 8 at 7:00 p.m. and hosts the Portland LumberJax on Sunday, Feb. 10 at 3:00 p.m. Swarm single game tickets are on sale now and range from $12 to $32 per game.
