Philadelphia Wings News Release

The Philadelphia Wings have signed third year star forward Geoff Snider to a one year contract. Snider was the 2008 National Lacrosse League All-Star MVP and was named to the league's All-Pro Team. The Calgary, Alberta native played in all 16 of the Wings games last season. Snider had 51 points (13G, 38A) in 2008 and tied a single season NLL record for faceoff wins with 318. The Denver University product also set single season records for loose balls (244) and penalty minutes (103).

"I am thrilled to be back in Philadelphia for the 2009 season and excited to get back out on the floor at the Wachovia Center in front of the best and most passionate fans in sports," said Snider. "The Philadelphia Wings are a first class organization that I am honored to be a part. The team took a step in the right direction last season by returning to the playoffs and in 2009 I am looking forward to helping the Wings win a championship."

Snider will also be taking a more active role in the Wings front office. He will be representing the team in many facets including: public relations, assisting with the establishment of local business relationships, helping develop and participating in community programs, as well as interacting with the Philadelphia area lacrosse community.

"We are not only excited to have Geoff playing a major role on the field but to employ him in our marketing, ad sales and PR efforts," said Wings President and Owner Russ Cline. "He is a talented business professional who will bring an added dimension to our staff."
