Philadelphia Wings News Release
* The Wings face the defending National League Champion Toronto Rock this Saturday, February 1 at the First Union Center. Game time is 8 p.m.
* Defenseman Paul Cantabene comes into this weekend's game as the Wings leading scorer with 16 points (8G, 8A). Cantabene was acquired from the former Washington Power (now Colorado Mammoth) in a trade in September 2002.
* The Rock are coming off a 17-13 win over the Buffalo Bandits at the Air Canada Centre last Friday. The win places the Rock in first place in the NLL's Northern Division with a 4-2 record. Leading scorers for Toronto are Colin Doyle with 27 points (11G, 16A), Steve Toll with 18 points (13G, 5A), and Kevin Finneran with 18 points (8G, 10A).

RECAPPING THE WINGS
The Wings captured their first win of the season after defeating the Colorado Mammoth by a score of 13-11 in their home opener on Saturday. Leading scorers for the Wings were Paul Cantabene with six points (5G, 1A), Jeff Ratcliffe with six points (1G, 5A), Tom Marachek with five points (2G, 3A), Tony Henderson with four points (2G, 2A), Keith Cromwell with two points (2G), and Andrew Guindon with two points (1G, 1A).
BROAD ST. BASH CONTINUES
The Wings all-new Broad Street Bash at the First Union Center will open prior to this Saturday's home game at 6:30 p.m.. The inaugural Bash will feature live music from the group The Blitz, interactive games, concessions, and more! Doors open at 6:30. The Broad Street Bash will take place on the First Union Center concourse prior to every Wings home game.
LET THE MADNESS BEGIN
The Wings will offer a Matinee Madness package this season that includes both matinee (1 p.m.) home games on Saturday, February 22 and Saturday, March 8. The Matinee Madness package includes four mezzanine level tickets to each game, four game programs, and two Dallas Eliuk bobblehead doll coupons for the February 22nd game. Matinee Madness packages are just $100!

* The Wings are 1-2 going into Saturday's game against the Rock and hold third place in the NLL's Eastern Division behind the New Jersey Storm and Colorado.
* Sixth-year forward Jake Bergey will miss the 2003 season after suffering a torn ACL in his left knee in an exhibition game against Colorado at the Pepsi Center on December 6. Bergey underwent surgery last month and will continue rehab throughout the season.

* Defenseman Drew Candy will be a guest on the Y100 Morning Show on Friday during the 9 a.m. hour.
* Forward Jeff Ratcliffe will tape an interview on WMMR Thursday morning that can be heard later that day.
