Philadelphia Wings News Release
Forward Sean Greenhalgh was named the NLL's Rookie of the Month for the month of January. Greenhalgh leads the Wings in scoring with 17 points (7G, 10A) in four games this season.
"Considering he hasn't played the indoor game in a couple of years, Sean's made a great transition," said Wings Head Coach Lindsay Sanderson. "He's a very skilled scorer and will be an offensive presence in this league for years to come."
In addition to leading the team in scoring, Greenhalgh leads the team in goals and ranks second in assists and points. His best game came in the Wings' season opener against the Colorado Mammoth when he scored eight points (4G, 4A). The Cornell University graduate was named the Overall Player of the Week, Offensive Player of the Week, and Rookie of the Week in week one of the NLL season. Greenhalgh was drafted by the Wings in the first round (3rd overall) in the 2005 NLL Entry Draft.
