Wings Get Weekend Sweep
February 9, 2020 - North American Hockey League (NAHL)
Aberdeen Wings News Release
Clayton Cosentino scored the game deciding goal to lift the Aberdeen Wings to a 3-2 shootout win over the Minot Minotauros. Jordan Randall got the scoring started for Aberdeen just 3:12 into the game but Dan Russell tied the game for Minot in the closing seconds of the first. Cooper Haar's third goal of the weekend gave Aberdeen the lead but Kyler Kleven's goal in the final minutes forced the extra period. Henry Welsch stopped all three shooters he faced in the shootout in addition to the 25 saves he made in regulation. Ben Garrity was phenomenal as he made 47 saves in a losing effort.
Aberdeen will prepare for another long week on the road, starting with a Wednesday trip to Minot. This is the final make up game from earlier this season. The Wings will then head right to Cloquet for a weekend series with the Wilderness. You can watch all the games at Buffalo Wings & Rings in Aberdeen or by logging on to HockeyTV.com.
