Wings face defending champion NLL champion Toronto Rock

The Philadelphia Wings (2-3) face the 2003 defending National Lacrosse League Champion Toronto Rock (2-2) this Saturday, February 7 at the Air Canada Centre at 7:30 p.m. This is the first of four meetings between the Wings and the Rock this season, three of which occur during the month of February.

SCOUTING THE ROCK

The Rock come into week seven of NLL game action after a one-game loss streak after being defeated by the Rochester Knighthawks by a score of 11-10 in their last game action on Saturday, January 31.

The Rock are third overall in the NLL in goals scored with an average of 13.25 per game. Toronto's goaltenders are second in the league in save percentage with a combined total of 76.2% of shots saved.

Leading the Rock in scoring are Colin Doyle with 29 points (12G, 17A) and Blaine Manning with 26 points (11G, 15A). Doyle ranks ninth overall in the NLL in goals scored with an average of three per game.

WINGS LOOK TO RETURN TO WINNING WAYS

After a 2-0 start this season, the Wings have lost their last three game straight dropping them to a 2-3 record and last place in the Eastern Conference.

The Wings are winless in two games at home this season, with their most recent loss coming against the Buffalo Bandits by a score of 18-10 on Saturday, January 31 at the Wachovia Center.

WINGS HOST "LOVE STINKS" NIGHT ON VALENTINE'S DAY

CROMWELL REACHES 100 POINTS

Third-year forward Keith Cromwell scored his 100th National Lacrosse League point against Buffalo on Saturday, January 31. Cromwell's milestone came in the second quarter when he assisted on a Tony Henderson power-play goal. He finished the night with four points (2G, 2A) and with 102 career NLL points.

THE LEADER BOARD

* Forward Jeff Ratcliffe leads the Wings in scoring through five regular games with 18 points (11G, 7A) followed by Keith Cromwell with 15 points (5G, 10A), and rookie Ryan Ward with 14 points (7G, 7A).

MILESTONES

* Goaltender Dallas Eliuk is approaching his 5,000th career save (currently at 4,862). Eliuk has averaged 35.48 saves per game in his 14-year season.

* Fourth-year forward Jeff Ratcliffe is approaching his 200th career point (currently at 198). Ratcliffe has averaged 3.6 points per game this season.
