
Wings Drop Final 2011 Game to Swarm 11-9

The Philadelphia Wings (5-11) fell to the Minnesota Swarm (7-7) by a final score of 11-9 in a close match up at the Xcel Energy Center tonight. Goalie Brandon Miller turned in another all star performance stopping 49 of the 60 shots on goal.
The Wings led the Swarm for most of the game, but could not hold on as the Swarm went on a 4-1 goal run in the fourth quarter. Scorers for the Wings included Ryan Boyle (3g, 1a), David Brock (1g), Brendan Mundorf (2g, 2a), Paul Dawson (1g, 1a) and Max Seibald (2g, 1a). Mundorf and Boyle finished the night with 4 points each and Seibald added 3 to his season total of 24 points. Wings point leader Athan Iannucci recorded 1 assist.
The Wings have not qualified for the NLL Playoffs and will begin preparation for the 2012 season. Deposits for tickets are now being accepted by calling 215-389-WING (9464).
