Wings Captain Brodie Merrill Named NLL Transition Player of the Week

Philadelphia Wings star transition player and team captain Brodie Merrill has been named the National Lacrosse League (NLL) Transition Player of the Week for the second time this season.

In last weekend's home-and-home series versus the Colorado Mammoth, Merrill policed the middle of the field scooping up eight loose balls and added an assist in the Wings 13-12 road victory at Colorado's Pepsi Center. After returning home Sunday, Merrill contributed two goals, two assists and 11 loose balls in a 16-15 overtime loss to the Mammoth.

The honor marks the second time this season that Merrill has taken home the weekly award. Captain Merrill and the Philadelphia Wings will return to Wells Fargo Center for versus the Minnesota Swarm in the team's final home game of the regular season Friday, April 6 at 7 p.m.
