
Wings battle Bandits this Saturday

The Philadelphia Wings (2-2) face the Buffalo Bandits (2-2) this Saturday, January 31 at the Wachovia Center at 8 p.m. With a win over the Bandits, the second-place Wings could re-take ownership of first place in the Eastern Conference over the current leaders the Toronto Rock (2-1).
The Wings defeated the Bandits in their first and only meeting this season at Buffalo on January 10 by a score of 16-13. Wings forward Jeff Ratcliffe had a season high four goals during the contest while rookie Ryan Ward had a season high of six points (3G, 3A).
SCOUTING THE BANDITS
The Bandits come into week six of NLL game action on a one-game win streak. The Bandits defeated the Anaheim Storm by a score of 16-12 in their last game action on Sunday, January 18.
The Bandits are third overall in the NLL in goals scored with an average of 14 per game. They also lead the league in penalties with an average of 12.5 a game.
Leading the Bandits in scoring are John Tavares with 23 points (11G, 12A), Jason Clark with 13 points (6G, 7A), and rookie AJ Shannon with 12 points (5G, 7A). Chris Langdale leads the Bandits in penalties (6 for 26 minutes).
STEALTH SLIP BY WINGS
The San Jose Stealth defeated the Wings in week five of NLL action by a score of 12-10. Leading scorers for the Wings were Jeff Ratcliffe with four points (3G, 1A) and Jake Bergey with three goals.
With the loss, the Wings fell to 2-2 and are in a three-way for second in the Eastern Conference with Buffalo and the Rochester Knighthawks.

WINGS HOST PAJAMA PARTY
The Philadelphia Wings return to the Wachovia Center on Saturday, January 31 to face the Buffalo Bandits at 8 p.m. The first 11,000 fans will receive Wings pillowcases courtesy of Buick and CN8 Sports as the Wings celebrate Philadelphia's "Philly's More Fun When You Sleep Over" campaign. All fans who wear their pajamas to the game can purchase mezzanine level tickets for just $10 (regular price $18).
CAN'T STOP THE RAT
Fourth-year forward Jeff Ratcliffe has scored three or more goals in the Wings past three games. Ratcliffe scored four goals at Buffalo on January 10 and recorded hat-tricks against Rochester on January 17 and at San Jose on January 23. Through the Wings first four games this season, Ratcliffe has scored eleven goals.
Ratcliffe scored a career high of 47 goals during the 2002 season.
THE LEADER BOARD
* Forward Jeff Ratcliffe leads the Wings in scoring through four regular games with 16 points (11G, 5A).
* Ratcliffe is tied seventh in the NLL in goals scored (11) with Buffalo's John Tavares and Toronto's Blaine Manning.
MILESTONES
* Third-year forward Keith Cromwell approaches his 100th NLL point (currently at 98). Cromwell is averaging 3.5 points per game this season.
* Goaltender Dallas Eliuk is approaching his 5,000th career save (currently at 4,849). Eliuk has averaged 35.65 saves per game in his 14-year season.
* Fourth-year forward Jeff Ratcliffe is approaching his 200th career point (currently at 196). Ratcliffe has averaged four points per game this season.
