
NLL First quarter update

The National Lacrosse League has now played exactly 25% of its 2003-2004 regular season. Twenty of the eighty regular season games are now in the books.
WHEW! ANOTHER CLOSE ONE..
Through the first twenty games of the regular season, eight of those games (40%) have been decided by one goal. Of the eight, five (25% of all games) have been decided in overtime, including one game that went into triple overtime (Arizona Sting defeated the Anaheim Storm 19-18 at Anaheim on January 10th), a first in the league's 18-year history.
Here is a summary of the one goal games so far:

-Jan 3rd - Rochester at Buffalo (Buf 12, Roc 11)
Week #3
-Jan 9th - Colorado at Arizona (Col 12, Arz 11)
-Jan 10th - Colorado at San Jose (SJ 13, Col 12)
-Jan 10th - Arizona at Anaheim (Arz 19, Ana 18--3OT)
Week #4
-Jan 16th - Buffalo at Vancouver (Van 16, Buf 15 OT)
-Jan 18th - Colorado at Vancouver (Col 13, Van 12 OT)
Week #5
-Jan 25th - San Jose at Anaheim (SJ 8, Ana 7 - OT)
-Jan 25th - Arizona at Colorado (Col 14, Arz 13 - OT)
ATTENDANCE IS UP 8.6%
The average league-wide attendance through the first quarter of the season is 9,404. The figure represents an 8.6% increase over last year's full regular season average of 8,658. Single game attendance highs so far: 17,778 at Colorado on January 2nd vs. San Jose and 16,124 at Toronto on January 16th vs. Calgary.
CNBC TO PROFILE NLL TOMORROW MORNING
A story on the National Lacrosse League is scheduled to run tomorrow morning on the CNBC cable network. The story is scheduled to run during the "Squawk Box" program at approximately 7:45am Eastern/4:45am Pacific on Tuesday, January 27th. The story is expected to include interviews with Commissioner Jim Jennings and Philadelphia Wings Owner & Governor Russ Cline, as well as game/fan footage from both the Air Canada Centre in Toronto and the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia. The Squawk Box airs live on CNBC every weekday from 7-10am Eastern Time/4-7am Pacific Time.
PLAYER INTERVIEWS AVAILABLE FROM PRO SPORTS RADIO
