Spitfires' Game Notes

- The CHL's #1 ranked team leads the OHL with 72 points, on the strength of a 34-5-0-4 record

- The Spitfires today acquired right-winger Zack Kassian from the Peterborough Petes, in exchange for sending left-winger Austin Watson as well as Windsor's second round picks in the 2012 and 2014 OHL Priority Selections to the Petes

- Forward Eric Wellwood scored two goals in today's game, including the game winner and has scored 6 goals and 11 points in the Spitfires' five January games

- Goaltender Philipp Grubauer stopped 22 of 23 shots in today's game and has now won both of his starts with the Spitfires since being acquired from Belleville last week

- Forward Dale Mitchell was held pointless today and has his seven game point streak snapped

- Forward Taylor Hall registered one assist in today's contest and is in the midst of a nine game point streak, scoring three goals and eight points in three games since returning from the 2010 IIHF World Junior Championships. He is now tied for first in the OHL Scoring Race with 67 points in 37 games

- Three Spitfire forwards are ranked in the OHL's top ten of the league's scoring race (1st Hall - 67 points, tied for 6th Henrique - 56 points, tied for 10th Nemisz - 51 points)
