Wilmington Hammerheads Announce New Local Partnership

Wilmington Hammerheads FC News Release
Wilmington, NC - Wilmington Hammerheads FC announced today a partnership with Coastal Christian High School (CCHS).
This exciting new partnership will be mutually beneficial to both parties and serve as a great way for the Hammerheads and the community to work together. The partnership will grant the Hammerheads access to Coastal Christian's quality soccer facilities for training and practice purposes. In return, Coastal players will receive professional training from Hammerheads coaches and players, as well as staff consulting from the Hammerheads staff. There will also be a Coastal Christian night at the Hammerheads home game on August 20th and Coastal families will be able to take advantage of special ticket packages throughout the season.
"Coastal Christian High School is a school that challenges its students to perform with strength and honor in athletics, as well as academics," said CCHS Athletic Director, Mike Scheffel, in a statement about the partnership. Coastal's commitment to excellent facilities and desire to continually improve their athletic programs has resulted in an exciting partnership with the Wilmington Hammerheads. The Hammerheads will use CCHS as their official training grounds and will be offering special training to both the varsity soccer teams and coaches at the school. The Hammerhead's General Manager, Jason Arnold, stated, "We are excited to be a part of this fantastic organization and look forward to growing our relationship with them." Coastal's soccer teams will also be proudly wearing the Capelli Sport brand, the Hammerhead's official apparel sponsor, as a result of this partnership. "The coaches, students, and staff of CCHS would like to offer a warm welcome to the Wilmington Hammerheads!"
Head Coach Mark Briggs stated, "This is a fantastic partnership for both parties. We are grateful to be working with Coastal Christian and their professional staff, as well as utilizing their outstanding facilities."
