
Williams and Dickens earn Player of the Week honors

Boise, ID (November 29, 2004) â The Continental Basketball Association announced today that Great Lakes Storm guard Ezra Williams was named the Eastern Conference Player of the Week, while Idaho Stampede forward Kaniel Dickens was named the Western Conference Player of the Week for the week of November 19-27.
Behind 21.4 points and 5.4 rebounds per game, Williams led the Storm to a franchise best 3-0 start, and an overall 3-2 record, which currently has the Storm sitting in first place in the Eastern Conference. He also added 4.6 assists and 2.4 steals per game while shooting a perfect 100 percent (18 of 18) from the free-throw line, and 57.9 percent (11 of 19) from behind the three-point line (3rd in the league).
In a 101-95 victory over the Gary Steelheads on November 24, Williams posted 19 points, 10 assists, seven rebounds and four steals. He currently ranks 5th in the league in scoring, 7th in both assists and steals, 3rd in three-point percentage, and 1st in free-throw percentage.
Dickens averaged 29.5 points and 9.3 rebounds per contest as he led the Stampede to a 3-1 record during the week, including a two-game home weekend sweep of Eastern Conference leading Great Lakes. He also added seven assists, two blocks and five steals, while shooting 54.5 percent (42 of 77) from the floor and 56.0 percent (14 of 25) from behind the three-point line.
The 6-foot-8, 215-pound forward posted back-to-back double-doubles in the first two games of the season when he notched 23 points and 10 rebounds against the Yakima Sun Kings on November 19, and 30 points and 12 rebounds the following night. He then posted a CBA season-high 39 points in a 113-107 victory over Great Lakes on November 27.
Dickens currently leads the league in scoring, is tied for 6th in rebounding, and ranks 5th in three-point field goal percentage.
Other players receiving consideration were Gary's Jemeil Rich (19.0 ppg, 11.2 apg), Dakota's Billy Keys (19.5 ppg, 9.5 apg), and Sioux Falls' Corsley Edwards (20.7 ppg, 11.7 rpg).
