Wilderness Goaltender Kaleb Johnson Commits Division I to UND

CLOQUET, MN - The Minnesota Wilderness proudly announces goaltender Kaleb Johnson's recent commitment to the Division I University of North Dakota. The North Dakota Native plans to attend UND in the 2020 season.
Wilderness Head Coach, Dave Boitz remarked this statement about Johnson's commitment "We are extremely proud of Kaleb and happy for him to have reached his goal of playing for his dream school, UND. Kaleb is great, young goaltender and has a terrific work ethic; he deserves everything that comes his way. The Wilderness program is honored to have one of our players committing to such a great university and fantastic hockey program."
Johnson is a North Dakota native and helped the Grand Forks Central Knights claim two state championship titles while in high school. Since then, Johnson has only improved his game and gained even more game experience in the NAHL. Johnson's debut in the NAHL came in September with the Minnesota Wilderness, during the NAHL Showcase. Johnson put up an impressive 34 saves on 35 shots.
Kaleb Johnson commented on his decision to play DI hockey at UND "It's my hometown. I've been watching them since I was about 6 years old. Their culture and tradition is great. I really look forward to becoming a part of that culture and tradition and keeping it moving forward."
The Minnesota Wilderness is a Tier II Junior Hockey Team in the National American Hockey League (NAHL), based in Cloquet, Mn.
