
Wildcatters Set for First Home Playoff Game in Team History Tonight

Beaumont, TX (April 18, 2007) The Texas Wildcatters host the first playoff game in Southeast Texas tonight at 7:05 p.m. when they battle the Gwinnett Gladiators in Game 3 of the Best of Five South Division Semifinals. The 'Catters and Gladiators split the first two games in Gwinnett.
Tonight is Burger King Night as fans will receive Wildcatters decals compliments of Burger King. Doors will open at 5:00 p.m. as prior to the game Church on the Ice will take place. The service begins at 5:30 p.m. as team chaplain Tom Riley will be hosting the event. A pre-game concert by local worship band Client State and an on-ice service will highlight the pre-game service. Local Christian recording artist and worship leader Paul Ciupek will perform as well. Church on the Rock Senior Pastor, Dr. R.L. Hammonds will give a brief inspirational message from the ice.
During the afternoon, ECHL Commissioner Brian McKenna and Wildcatters co-owner David LeFevre will be in Beaumont to address media and fans at 2:30 p.m. They will discuss plans for the 2007-08 hockey season in Southeast Texas as it will be the 5th anniversary of the Texas Wildcatters. All media and fans are welcomed to attend the special address which will take place in the VIP Room at Ford Arena beginning at 2:30 p.m.
The Kelly Cup Playoffs are coming to Southeast Texas for the first time in history. The Wildcatters home games will be Wednesday, April 18 at 7:05 p.m. and Friday, April 20 at 8:05 p.m. and if necessary on Sunday, April 22 vs. Gwinnett.
