AVON, Ohio - The Lake Erie Crushers made it consecutive walk-off victories over the Washington Wild Things, scoring a 3-2 decision in 10 innings on Wednesday night to record their fourth consecutive victory.

Washington opened the scoring in the first inning, posting four hits against Lake Erie starter Matt Smith. Chris Sidick led off the game with a double to right. He scored on a one-out infield single by Jon Kourie. The Crushers took a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the second. Jodam Rivera singled home Joel Collins and Raphael Turner, both of whom stole bases in the inning.

The Wild Things evened the score in the fifth. John Delaney led off the inning with a single and moved to second on a balk. Following a Billy O'Conner single, Denny Duron dropped down a safety squeeze to tie the game. Matt Smith pitched six innings for the Crushers and allowed two runs on eight hits. Jeff Cinadr kept the game tied with three scoreless innings out of the bullpen and Ronnie Morales pitched the 10th to win for the second consecutive night.

Andrew Davis opened the 10th by drawing a walk. Lee Huggins was unsuccessful in two bunt attempts but rebounded by stroking a single to left. Joel Collins ended the game with a double deep to center, scoring the game-winning run.

Washington veteran Chris Sidick played all nine positions in the game as the Wild Things outhit Lake Erie 12-6. Joel Collins recorded two hits for Lake Erie and reached base three times.

The series concludes tomorrow night with the final Thirsty Thursday of the summer. RHP Alberto Rolon (3-4, 2.66) will make his final start of the season opposite RHP Jeff Sonnenberg (6-7, 3.00) for Washington.

EXTRA SWINGS

- The victory marked the sixth walk-off win of the year for the Crushers, who are 5-7 in extra-innings

- Lake Erie is at the .500 mark for the first time since July 28 when they were 30-30

- Reliever J.J. Pacella pinch hit for Casey McGrew in the seventh inning and singled to left before being lifted for pinch runner Jake Krause, who stayed in the game at second
