IFL EXPANSION
New Rivalry in Alaska
The Intense Football League (IFL) has awarded a franchise to the city of Fairbanks, Alaska. The newly crowned franchise in Fairbanks, Alaska will start playing during the 2008 season and their first game will be against your Alaska Wild on Thursday March 6, 2008. "We can't wait to face the Fairbanks, Alaska franchise this upcoming 2008 season", Alaska Wild President David Weatherholt said. "We will develop this into a rivalry winning series called, The Ice Cup Classic." The winner of the last match-up for the season, June 27th in Fairbanks, will take home bragging rights and the Ice Cup Classic Trophy for the year. Your Alaska Wild and the new Fairbanks franchise will play four times during the IFL 2008 season.

AIFFL
It's a very exciting time for football in Alaska. The Alaska Indoor Flag Football League will be starting its 5th season in January. The AIFFL is the Developmental league for the Alaska Wild. The Alaska Wild signed six players from the AIFFL last season. Some of those players such as Justin Dailey and Sean Chase went on to be starters and made pivotal plays for the Alaska Wild. During the season I will spend most of my time scouting and evaluating players. The AIFFL is an integral part the Alaska Wild success and we are looking forward to finding the next big star in the AIFFL.
The Alaska Indoor Flag Football League (AIFFL) is the developmental league for the Alaska Wild. The AIFFL is a recreational five-on-five non- contact league, which plays at the Cellular One Sports Center in Anchorage.
