
Wild Sign Three More on Eve of Training Camp

With team activities opening tomorrow morning, the Wichita Wild has added three more players to the training camp roster. Signing contracts for the 2009 season are former Texas Tech standout defensive lineman Kenyon Scott, defensive back Anthony Miles, and former University of Connecticut DB Donta Moore.
Scott is entering his third season of professional football. Last season he spent training camp with the Tampa Bay Storm of the Arena Football League (AFL). Scott was let go in the final cut down before the regular season. He then joined the Lubbock Renegades of the Arena Football2 where he finished second on the team in sacks with three. In 2007, Scott played for Lubbock and was named the Defensive Lineman of the Year for the Renegades. Scott led the team in sacks with four and finished second on the team with 5.5 tackles for loss.
The Newton, TX native played in 47 games at Texas Tech from 2003-2006 and accumulated 108 tackles in his career. Scott was named to the All-Big 12 team following his junior season in 2005.
Miles will be playing in his second season of indoor football. In 2008, he played for the New England Surge and the Lehigh Valley Outlawz of the Continental Indoor Football League.
Miles started his college career at Long Beach City College and played for the Vikings during the 2004 season. Miles transferred to New Jersey City Community College in 2005 to run track for the Gothic Knights. Miles was a 2-time NCAA Division III National Champions and a 5-time All-American. The Slickerville, NJ native was a 6-time high school All-American in track while at Winslow Township High School.
This will mark Moore's first season of professional football. Moore's final season at UConn was in 2006, where he finished fourth on the team in tackles with 72. Moore tallied three sacks and led the team with 11.5 tackles for loss. The Tampa, FL native redshirted during the 2005 season. In 2004, Moore played in all 12 games for the Huskies including the Motor City Bowl. As a freshman, Moore saw action in six games.
