
Wild Reassigns Almond, Falk to Aeros

HOUSTON --- Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has reassigned forward Cody Almond and defenseman Justin Falk to the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Almond, 21 (7/24/89), skated in his fifth game with Minnesota this season logging 6:57 of ice time in last night ¬â¢s contest at Phoenix. The 6-foot-2, 217-pound native of Calgary, Alta., has posted 22 points (10-12=22) in 46 games for the Aeros. Almond is tied for the team lead with six power-play goals and second with 86 penalty minutes (PIM).
Falk, 22 (10/11/88), logged 11:27 of ice time in yesterday ¬â¢s game at Phoenix. The 6-foot-5, 217-pound native of Snowflake, Man., has posted two assists and six penalty minutes in 19 games with Minnesota this season. Falk has tallied six points (1-5=6) a +4 rating and 25 PIM in 29 games with Houston.
The Aeros begin a four-game run away from Toyota Center with a return matchup against the Texas Stars at the Cedar Park Center on Tuesday night. From there, they visit Rockford on Wednesday, Peoria on Friday and then play host to Peoria at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minnesota, on Sunday.
