Wild Re-Sign Versatile Threat

The Wichita Wild of the Indoor Football League (IFL) re-signed running back/wide receiver Brandon Walker to a contract for the 2011 season. Walker also serves as a back-up quarterback in emergency situations for the Wild.

The upcoming season will be Walker's second in a Wild uniform. In 2009 he appeared in ten games catching 12 passes for 148 yards and a touchdown. Walker also added 27 yards on just four carries during the campaign.

Walker played running back, wide receiver and quarterback from 2004-2008 at Washburn in Topeka. The Dallas, TX native left as one of the greatest players in the history of Ichabod football. He finished his career 6th in school history in rushing yards with 2,015, 7th all-time in rushing touchdowns with 21, and 10th all-time in all-purpose yards with 2,905.

In 2008, Walker rushed for 476 yards and three touchdowns. He also caught 17 passes for 194 yards and a touchdown. Walker was named to the MIAA All-Conference team. The 2007 season was Walker's best as he rushed for 760 yards and ten touchdowns. Walker also caught 23 passes for 394 yards and three touchdowns. Walker was named team MVP and added to the All-MIAA team.

In 2006, Walker rushed for 431 yards and five touchdowns. As a freshman in 2005, Walker tallied 348 yards on the ground and three touchdowns.
