
Wild Look for Winning Streak in OKC

The Wichita Wild will make the short trip to Oklahoma City on Saturday to face the Bricktown Brawlers in Indoor Football League action. The Wild will look to continue their solid play which has led to victories in two out of their last three contests. The game kicks off at 7:05 pm from the Cox Convention Center.
The Brawlers (2-6) are led by head coach William McCarthy and will be looking to pick up a quality home win this week after a hard loss to the Wyoming Calvary last Friday. Quarterback Nate Samas leads the Brawler's charge on offense. Samas has accounted for 12 touchdowns and 8 interceptions in only 5 games played. Defensively the Brawlers are anchored by linebacker Steve Allen. In eight games Allen has recorded 49 total tackles and 4.5 sacks.
The Wild (2-6) were victors in a thrilling back and forth contest last week vs. Bloomington. Wichita won the game by a score of 20-18. New Wild QB Phil Staback produced an efficient 25-of-33 passing for 190 yards and two touchdowns. The Wild did not turn the ball over in the game while forcing three Bloomington turnovers. The Wichita defense has only allowed their opponent to score over 40 points once in the last four games.
The game can be heard on 1330-AM KNSS with pregame coverage starting at 6:50 pm. Fans can also gather at Emerson Biggins West where the game will be broadcast on their big screen TV's.
