WENATCHEE, Wash. - Mitch Torrel (Monticello, Minn.), Shawn Pauly (Bellingham, Wash.) and Armand Deswardt (Dalls, Texas) each scored two goals apiece in the Wenatchee Wild's 7-0 victory over the Wichita Falls Wildcats Sunday evening. The win was the Wild's ninth in its last 11 games and its final regular-season win at the Town Toyota Center.

The Wild held a 1-0 lead after 20 minutes of play on Torrel's tip-in goal at the 8:55 mark on Deswardt's pass from the far boards. Ryan Timar (Novi, Mich.) tapped in a power-play goal near the midpoint of the second period to make it 2-0. Chris Rumble (Chesapeake, Va.) and Michael Di Puma (Chicago, Ill.) assisted. Pauly upped Wenatchee's lead to 3-0 with less than a minute remaining in the second period when he poked in a rebound on a shot from the point by Rumble during an extended stretch in Wichita Falls' zone. Di Puma earned the second assist.

The Wild exploded for four more unanswered goals in the third period. Torrel picked up his second goal of the contest 7:31 into the frame on a slick saucer pass from Deswardt from the right wing. Pauly lit the lamp for the second time near the 12-minute mark on assists from Rumble and Timar.

Deswardt scored Wenatchee's final two goals, both of which came on the power play. His first goal, scored with a little more than seven minutes remaining, came on a 5-hole backhander. Alex McLean (Duluth, Minn.) assisted. Deswardt scored his second goal with less than three minutes left on assists by Andrew Christ (Spokane, Wash.) and Rumble.

Deswardt finished the night with two goals and two assists while Rumble racked up four helpers. Timar scored a goal and one assist while Di Puma had two assists.

Brandon Jaeger (Champlin, Minn.) stopped all 14 shots he faced for his third shutout of the season. Wildcats netminder Kelly Andrew stopped 30-of-37 shots. Wenatchee went 3-for-9 on the power play while Wichita Falls went 0-for-4.

The West Division regular-season champion Wild has 11 days off before its next series on March 19-20 at Kenai River. The Wild then conclude its regular-season schedule with 2-game sets at Alaska (March 23-24) and at Fairbanks (March 26-27).
