Wichita Wild News Release

The Wichita Wild will play a rare Friday night game this week as they travel to Bloomington, Ill. to face the 7-1 Extreme. This will be the second and final Friday night game of the year for the Wild. The game kicks off at 7:05 p.m.

Bloomington is led at the quarterback position by Rocky Hinds who has established himself as one of the top QBs in the league. Hinds is third in the league in touchdown passes with 28 and ranks second in passing yards with 1,389. His favorite receiver is Johnny Gray who enters the game second in the IFL in receptions with 48. The Extreme defense allows only 29.1 points per game, which leads the IFL.

The Wild (1-6) signed quarterback Phil Staback early this week. Staback should see some playing time in the ball game. Staback was a two-time NAIA All-American at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Mo. during the 2009 and 2010 seasons. The Oceanside, Calif. native completed 75% of his passes for over 6,700 yards and 70 touchdowns in his collegiate career.

The game can be heard on 1330-AM KNSS with pregame coverage starting at 6:50 p.m. Fans can also gather at Emerson Biggins West where the game will be broadcasted on their big screen TVs. Emerson Biggins West is located at 2330 N Maize Rd. (21st and Maize) in Wichita.
