Wild Continue To Fill Roster

The Wichita Wild of the Indoor Football League (IFL) have re-signed another player from the 2009 Central Division Champion squad. The Wild have re-signed defensive lineman Brandon Russell for the 2010 season. Russell played in 14 games for the Wild in 2009. The Wild have also signed defensive lineman Scott Moore. The Wild can sign up to 45 players for training camp and will cut down to 30 for the regular season.

Russell will be playing his second season of professional football in 2010. Russell finished 10th on the team in tackles in 2009 with 14.5. The Ft. Worth, TX native also finished 4th on the team in tackles for loss with 4.5 and third on the team in sacks with two. Russell played defensive tackle at Mid-America Nazarene in Olathe, KS from 1999-2002. As a senior he was named an NAIA All-American.

Moore joins the Wild after a playing career at Kansas Wesleyan in Salina. Moore was a 3-time All-KCAC selection from 2006-2008 for the Coyotes. Moore spent his first year of football eligibility at College of the Canyons in Santa Clarita, CA. Moore also played on the basketball team and once played in a basketball game in the afternoon and played in the 3rd and 4th quarter of a football game at night. Moore played his first season of college basketball at Tallahassee Community College in Florida.

Growing up in Chicago, Moore did not play basketball or football until he joined the Air Force. Moore was in the Air Force from 2000-2004 before he went to college. Moore was on the bowling and chess team during high school.

Tickets start at only $79 for the entire season. The 2009 Wild finished with a 10-7 record and were crowned the Indoor Football League's Central Division Champions.
