Wichita Wild News Release

The Wichita Wild of the Indoor Football League (IFL) have been working hard to build their roster for the 2012 season. In the last week the Wild have singed 8 different players, many of whom were key contributors to last season's turnaround.

On Offensive, the Wild were quick to re-sing their standout Quarterback of last season Phil Staback. After coming in halfway through the 2011 campaign, Staback lead the Wild to a record of 6-2 to finish the season. The Wild have also bolstered their Offensive line with the re-signing of Offensive Linemen Blake Gordon, Brett Cavanah, and Jason Enos, as well as added Offensive Lineman Marcus Miles who was a notable Lineman for the Bricktown Brawlers of the IFL last season. Kenny Wilson was also hastily re-singed by the Wild as a potent dual threat at both the Linebacker and Running Back positions.

On Defense, The Wild has re-signed Defensive Back Scooter Rodgers and Corner Back Kendrick Harper. Both served as huge difference makers over the second half of the 2011 season, as the Wild allowed an average of only 31.5 points per game over the last 7 games of the season.

Head Coach Morris Lolar is excited about the prospects of the team and players coming into the 2012 season. "All are quality players that will help build this team to compete for a Championship."

Be sure to keep your eyes open over the coming weeks as more players continue to sign with the Wild. Check out wichitawildfootball.com and be sure to follow the team on facebook at facebook.com/wichitawild.
