Wild Continue to Add Talent as Training Camp Nears

The Wichita Wild of the Indoor Football League (IFL) has just about filled out its training camp roster for the 2009 season. Training camp will open on March 5 as players and coaches prepare for the Wild?s first game in Omaha on March 20. Today, the Wild is announcing the signing of former Kansas State fullback Victor Mann and former Western Carolina wide receiver Nick Miller.

This will mark Mann's third season of professional football. Mann may see the majority of his playing time with the Wild on the defensive side of the ball as a linebacker/defensive end. The Fort Worth, TX native played for the New York Dragons of the Arena Football League in 2008. Mann played in the first two games of the season at fullback before being injured and lost for the year.

In 2007, Mann led the Lubbock Renegades of Arena Football2 in rushing with 293 yards. He also caught 15 passes for 228 yards and scored 18 total touchdowns.

Mann?s final season for the Wildcats was in 2005, where he was one of three team captains. Mann played in all 11 games and helped block the team to over 1900 yards rushing during the campaign. Miller started all 11 games in 2004 and helped the Wildcats gain over 2,300 yards on the ground. Mann played in all 15 games as a sophomore including the Big 12 Championship game victory vs. Oklahoma and the Fiesta Bowl loss vs. Ohio State. Mann also played in all 13 games as a freshman in 2002.

Miller played his final season at Western Carolina in 2007, where he hauled in 12 receptions for 146 yards on the season. Miller played in 11 games as a junior in 2006. He caught three passes for 60 yards during the campaign. As a sophomore, Miller played in eight games for the Catamount catching 12 passes for 110 yards. During the 2006 season, the Atlanta, GA native returned a kick 92 yards vs. The Citadel. The return was the 10th longest kickoff return in Western Carolina history.
