
Wichita Wild vs. Allen Wranglers - April 28th Game Preview

WICHITA, KS- The Wichita Wild of the Indoor Football League (IFL) will hosts the Allen Wranglers this Saturday, April 28th. This will be the two team's third meeting of the season, the Wild having lost the first two games. Both teams enter the game Saturday night coming off bye-weeks. The Wranglers post a record of 5-2, the Wild enter the game with a record of 2-5. Kickoff for Saturday night's game is scheduled at 7:05pm (CST) playing out of Hartman Arena.
The Allen Wrangles last played the Sioux Fall Storm on April 14th in a game that saw Sioux Fall defeat Allen in a final score of 52-45. Against the Wild this season, the Wrangles have averaged 234 yards per game, and have outscored Wichita with a combined score of 111-78.
The Wichita Wild last played on April 14th as well, dropping a game against the Nebraska Danger in a final score of 42-27. In that game, the Wild rushed for 144 yards, however Quarterback Marcus Jackson struggled at times throughout the game, completing 9 of 18 passes and giving up 2 interceptions. Wild Quarterback Phil Staback has been cleared to return to practice this week, but is currently questionable to start Saturday night. The Wild will be looking for revenge against the Wranglers; the team is dedicated to turning the second half of their season around with a three game home stand that starts on Saturday night.
Keep an Eye on: Doug Pierce
In his last game against the Wrangler, Wild Wide Receiver Doug Pierce had a heyday, recording 6 catches for 143 yards and 5 touchdowns. Pierce will no doubly look to take advantage of the Wranglers secondary again Saturday night.
