Wichita to Host Annual Region VI Tournament

WICHITA, KS- The NJCAA Region VI Super-Regional tournament returns to Lawrence-Dumont Stadium this weekend.
The eight-team, double elimination bracket includes Seward County Community College, Cowley County Community College, Garden City Community College, Fort Scott Community College, Coffeyville Community College, Colby Community College, Kansas City Community College, and Neosho County Community College.
The first series of games is slated for Friday at 10:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., 4:00 p.m., and 7:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday follow identical schedules to Friday, with the semi-final and championship games set for 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on Monday respectively. An "if necessary" championship game would take place Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.
Admission for all games is just $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for students.
Action began last weekend with a 16-team opening round that took place at the home fields of the higher seeds. The winner of this weekend's tournament moves on to the Junior College World Series in Grand Junction, CO beginning May 25th.
