GLENDALE, AZ (February 15, 2012) - For the third straight poll, the Wichita Thunder are the top team in the CHL Coaches Poll. It marks the fourth time this season the Thunder have been on top and their 32-13-2 record and 66 points are both best in the CHL.

The poll will be released on or near the beginning and middle of each month throughout regular season. Each first place vote receives 10 points, second place votes earn 9 points, etc.

The Thunder widened their gap over the #2 team now leading by 14 points compared to just one point on the poll announced on February 1. Wichita earned 10 of the first place votes, while Evansville earned three first place votes and Allen was selected as the top team on one of the ballots (teams are unable to vote for themselves).

The other two clubs in the top three switched spots in the current poll as the Americans (27-12-8) moved up one spot to #2 and the IceMen (29-13-4) fell one slot to #3. The other two clubs in the top five remained unchanged with Fort Wayne (30-15-2) holding on to the #4 spot and Missouri (27-15-4) finishing in the #5 spot.

Teams ranked #6 through #10 moved around some with only the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees remaining in the same spot (#10). The biggest move in the entire poll came from the Rapid City Rush who jumped up three spots to #6. To make room for the Rush, Quad City, Texas and Tulsa all moved down one spot to fill in the poll.
