Spokane, WA: The Spokane Shock announced today that WR Huey Whittaker has signed with the UFL's Florida Tuskers.

A Florida native, Whittaker played an integral role in Spokane's ArenaBowl Championship season as one of only two offensive starters to play in all 16 games during the regular season.

During that span, Whittaker set a franchise records for receptions (144), and receiving yards (1653). Whittaker was also recognized as a member of the All-AFL team.

In the post season, Whittaker led the league in touchdown receptions (10), including four in Spokane's victory over the Tampa Bay Storm in the ArenaBowl.

"Huey was one of our first big signings this past off season, and he exceeded our expectations," Head Coach Rob Keefe explained. "In addition to his athleticism and physical attributes, Huey is a leader in the locker room. He earned this opportunity and we are excited for his future with the Tuskers."

Whittaker is the second player from the ArenaBowl Champion Shock to join a UFL roster. Earlier this week, WR Markee White joined the Hartford Colonials.
