Edinburg, Texas - The Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings (12-8) were lead by left fielder Rudy Yan who went 3-for-3 on their way to capturing an 8-1 win at Edinburg Baseball Stadium on Thursday night.
The Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings scored three runs in the sixth on a fielder's choice and a two-run single by Yan to lead the offensive attack.
Coleman Stephens (3-1) picked up the win for the Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings. Stephens pitched 5 2/3 innings and allowed one earned run, four hits and four walks while striking out four.
Kedrick Martin (1-3) took his third loss of the year. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked two, struck out none, and allowed three runs.
The Thunder will continue their home stand on Friday night against the Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings at Edinburg Baseball Stadium with the first pitch set for 7:05 p.m.
