Vancouver Whitecaps FC News Release
VANCOUVER, BC - In conjunction with Ticketmaster, Vancouver Whitecaps FC are pleased to confirm that mobile tickets are now available for all Whitecaps FC home matches, including this weekend's match against Real Salt Lake at BC Place.
Whitecaps FC became the first professional sports team in Canada to utilize mobile ticketing during the club's previous home match against Chivas USA on September 1.
"We're very excited to be the first professional sports teams in Canada and one of the first clubs in Major League Soccer to offer mobile ticketing," said Whitecaps FC chief operating officer Rachel Lewis. "The ability to use mobile tickets is not only convenient for fans, but also a positive step forward for our organization in creating a sustainable future."
Using your mobile device, you can now access your Whitecaps FC tickets anytime, anywhere. Mobile ticketing is available on any smartphone or mobile device with internet access. By accessing the online account manager website, Whitecaps FC account holders can now display their tickets directly on their mobile device, which can then be scanned for entry into BC Place. Additionally, users can also print tickets and forward tickets to friends from their mobile device.
"We applaud Whitecaps FC and Ticketmaster for being leaders in ticketing innovation in Canada," said Loring Phinney, vice president of corporate marketing for Bell Canada. "The enhanced experience on a mobile device will make it more convenient for fans to enjoy and share their Whitecaps tickets."
